Exhibitor Information: Exhibit at Expat Expo and be part of THE event for English speakers living and working in Switzerland. Expat-Expo is an effective marketing tool that gives your company the opportunity to reach this lucrative, niche market quickly and efficiently. A little about Expat-Expo: Settling into a new country can be a daunting process for anyone, but Expat-Expo is designed to help make the anglophone community feel quickly at home in Switzerland. In the space of an afternoon, families can find important goods and services such as doctors, accountants and lawyers, schools and day-care, clubs and churches, even specialty food items from home. We believe Expat-Expo contributes greatly to the successful integration of newly arrived families and veteran expats alike. Expat-Expo has already become one of the most popular and anticipated events in the International community of Switzerland. If you have never exhibited at Expat-Expo, this is what you can expect: The Venue: Expat-Expo is a one day event (always on a Sunday) based on a simple theme of table-top displays. We realize this format is not the most sophisticated way of exhibiting but it results in very low exhibitor fees allowing entry to even the smallest of companies. If we had a more complex venue with custom booths and upscale features we would have to rent the hall for several days for set-up and break-down and exhibition costs would quickly run into the thousands and this would exclude many of our exhibitors. Many companies bring complex displays and achieve very professional results in their space, while others prefer a simpler approach and just use the table and chair. It is up to you to decide how to design your space, just remember: boring spaces do not attract visitors! Dates and Locations: The Application Process: The application process is quite simple. Just follow the process by clicking on the button at the bottom of this page but be sure to read all the details on the two pages before the application page. Once you have submitted the application, we will send you an invoice via e-mail including the payment information. Failure to pay may result in forfeiting your table to an exhibitor on the waiting list. Once you have paid you may choose your table location and any logo links you have ordered will be activated. The Set-up: On the day of the event you will have access to your table at 9am, which gives you 2 hours to set-up before we open the doors to the public. During the Show: You may sell your products directly to the visitors, however Expat-Expo is primarily designed to demonstrate your business and develop contacts with potential customers. On-floor sales of merchandise can be very lucrative but it depends on your product and your presentation. There will be food and drinks available on-site. The Break-down: The event is over at 5:00 PM and we insist that you do not begin packing up until the expo is closed. Exhibitors that pack up early will not be invited to return. The Visitors: Our crowds vary from location to location. Geneva is our biggest event and last year we had between 3000 and 4000 visitors. Zug is our smallest event with a crowd of perhaps 500 people but many exhibitors feel that Zug is one of our best expos because of the quality of the visitors and the intimate setting. Table Fees: (please read carefully) 195 CHF (245 in Geneva) for philanthropic organisations and Swiss businesses that are not registered with the Swiss Department of Commerce. Please note: philanthropic does not mean the same thing as non-profit. By philanthropic we mean organisations that exist solely to help people in need and are entirely privately funded by donations and grants and do not charge fees, admissions, memberships, tuitions or sell tickets or products. 295 CHF (345 CHF in Geneva) for businesses that are registered with the Swiss Department of Commerce and foreign companies. This includes; sole proprietorships and corporations such as AG, GmbH, SA, Sarl, and also individuals operating branch offices representing larger companies either Swiss or foreign also included in this catagory are non-profit social clubs and schools and universities. Exhibitors who require more space should contact us directly at 022 548 10 60. Optional Extras: Corner table location: 50 CHF Wifi internet access card (if available): 50 CHF Electrical outlet: 75 CHF each Table with a back wall or window (located on the room perimeter and based on availability): 130 CHF Sponsorship: We believe that Expat-Expo provides an important social service to our community and contributes greatly to the successful integration of newly arrived families and veteran expats alike. Because we would like to reach more people and make our event even bigger and better we are seeking corporate sponsors that can see the value, importance and need for our event. Sponsorships receive larger logo links. Size about 200 x 70 pixels. Logo-links are optional and in addition to the table fees.
