This presentation by Andy Habermacher, a specialist in NeuroLeadership, will look at what this means for the brain and development of intelligence, cultural competence and other skills in life. And also learn whether learning a second language can keep you young! the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In April of 2010, the quartet had the great privilege of performing in Jordan Hall as part of the concert series for the NEC Contemporary Music Ensemble. In September of both 2009 and 2010, the Excelsa Quartet was invited to participate in the Britten- Pears International Academy of String Quartets in Aldeburgh, England. As a result, they were asked to continue their studies at the Konservatorium Dreilinden in Lucerne, where they are now pursuing a Masters’ Degree in Chamber Music. All members of the Quartet also currently hold principal positions in the Lucerne Chamber Orchestra.The Excelsa Quartet was a semi- finalist in the Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes competition and has recently been invited to perform new works by current composers in the Heidelberg festival in Germany this Spring. |
4 Events Entertainment specializes in Balloon Sculpting and Face Painting for children's birthday parties and events. Balloon figures are fun to watch the creation of and fun to play with. Face painting adds to the magic of imagination and make believe, a fun mask for any child. (A not for profit company benefiting “Sponsor the Future” projects.) Derrick Feole will play several sets on his historical 1931 Selmer Tenor Saxophone which belonged to Joe Viola the former sax player with the original Glen Miller Orchestra. Currently, Derrick plays solo jazz and blues at various clubs, hotels, and restaurants, and also pure improvisation with House music and DJ’s within Switzerland.
